What type of women travel with JustLadies Travel Club? We have a diverse group of travelers … single, married, divorced and widowed. Some are retired, working, or homemakers. They range in age from 45 to 70 (some a little younger, some a little older). Many will tell you they are 29! Most of our women are from the Greater Pittsburgh area, although we do have a few that are out of state. We welcome women from anywhere.

Do women travel alone? Yes they do, although we encourage you to come to one of our monthly gatherings to meet the other women in the club and make new friends that way you’ll know some of the women you’re traveling with beforehand.

How many women travel together? Most of our trips are 10 to 14 ladies, although depending on the trip this number may be a little higher.

Do I have to be a member to travel with JustLadies? No. It is not required to be a member to travel with JustLadies, although the benefits and discounts associated with becoming a member makes it advantageous for you to join JustLadies.

Do I need to be in good physical condition? While our trips do vary with the amount of physical activity involved, although on most trips you do need to be in good physical shape. To truly experience the sights and sounds of the countries, cities and towns we visit you need to be able to walk comfortably. Many foreign towns are filled with narrow, steep cobblestone streets which can make getting around a little tricky. Also in the older European-style hotels elevators are not as common place so maneuvering stairs is important. We will advise you the best we can before a trip on what type of physical exertion is required.

What type of luggage should I use? Luggage with wheels is best. What you pack varies from trip to trip, although you should only take what you can manage. We cannot always guarantee that there will be someone there to handle your luggage for you.

What type of trips does JustLadies Travel Club offer? Over the course of the year, we try to offer a mix of travel opportunities. We do long weekend get-aways to destinations here in the States and longer trips abroad, usually ranging 7 to 10 days. We try not to offer the same trip two years in a row, unless there is great enthusiasm to do it. We also value your input into the places we are planning to visit. Let us know where you’d like to go!

How do you let us know about trips that are coming up? We do this several ways. We usually announce new trips at the monthly gatherings, e-mail and post them on our website. For those members without e-mail, we send a monthly postcard telling them about upcoming trips and the gathering information.

Do you share my e-mail information with anyone? No. The only time we would share your e-mail with anyone is if you are going on a trip and you agree to have your e-mail shared with your fellow travelers.

What happens after I have booked a trip? After you have made a deposit on a trip, we will send you a confirmation invoice along with the policies and terms pertinent to the particular trip. A second invoice will be sent when final payment is due. Usually 2 to 3 weeks before departure of a trip we have a “pre-trip gathering”. This is when you will receive all of the essential information for your trip. It’s also a good time to get to know your fellow travelers and get excited for your upcoming adventure.

What is a “gathering”? JustLadies Travel Club “gathers” on a monthly basis. Our location varies from month to month although we try to choose a location that is easily accessible. At the gathering we give an update on what’s happening in the travel industry and talk about upcoming trips. It’s also become a great social evening to dine, catch up with friends, and share photos from past trips.

Is travel insurance required?Does JustLadies offer travel insurance? While travel insurance is not required, we do highly recommend everyone traveling with JustLadies purchase the insurance. Members receive a 10% discount on travel insurance purchased through JustLadies. This protects your investment should something happen to cause you not to be able to travel. Travel insurance can be purchased through JustLadies or on your own. JustLadies Travel Club members receive a discount on their purchase of travel insurance when purchased through us.

Can I book my personal travel through JustLadies? Yes! JustLadies Travel Club is backed by J & L Travel, which has been a full service travel agency for more than 20 years. Members receive a discount on their small group travel booked through JustLadies.
